A brief description of when and why the workplace health and safety baseline was adopted (e.g. in sustainability plans and policies or in the context of other reporting obligations):
There was a management change in the Occupational Health, Safety and Injury Prevention (OHSIP) group in 2013. The January 1, 2014 – December 31, 2014 baseline year was selected because this is the first full year of incident data under the new OHSIP Management. The baseline and performance year timelines align with Department of Labor record keeping requirements.
