Cornell offers a range of flexible work arrangements
(http://www.hr.cornell.edu/life/support/flexible_arrangements.html) including telecommuting, individually negotiated and at the discretion of the supervisor.

Cornell also has computing guidelines for telecommuters who need to access Cornell's network and computing resources remotely.

According to survey results, 35% of employees reported telecommuting. Specifically, 16% of full-time, non-exempt employees and 40 percent of fulltime, exempt employees. Survey data compiled from the 2012 Sloan Foundation Cornell Employee Survey, and HR Leads.

In a Wellness Survey conducted in April/May of 2013, cornell employees were asked what types of flexible work arrangement were they able to use. Of the 757 respondents, 18.7% (52) of hourly staff, 44.1% (178) of salaried staff, and 34.7% (26) of faculty indicated that they were able to use a remote work arrangement (working from home or some location other than Cornell).
