A brief description of how sustainability is included prominently in new student orientation :
There is a sustainability module included in the mandatory pre-arrival online orientation called "Camel Experience" that all students, including transfers, complete. During fall orientation, there are several events themed around sustainability that students can elect to attend. The first option is a sustainability focused campus tour that shows students resources like the Dressing Room (a free thrift shop) and the Lending Library and sustainable initiatives like our geothermal well field and Sprout Garden. The second option is a Recycled Runway event where students work in teams to create outfits made from materials leftover from campus move-out. We also host the Give 'N Go Yard Sale where students can purchase used items collected at the end of the previous year.

We have a very short spring transfer orientation program that does not include sustainability events, but mid-year transfer students still complete the online module that includes sustainability.
