A brief description of the incentive program(s):
Since 2020, the Office of Sustainability has been offering the Sustainability Focused Course Development Grant. Each fall Faculty are invited to submit proposals for a new course offering or ideas for modifying a course that had some aspect of sustainability in the subject but was not primarily focused on the topic of sustainability. The 1-2-page proposals describe the proposed title, course description, level (100-, 200-, 300- or 400-level), and include a fuller narrative of how the topic will be addressed. The full request for proposals is attached below. Four courses supported by this grant have been taught since 2020. They are: 1. Quilting: Craft, Poverty, Protest, Reuse 2. The Sports Industry and Sustainability 3. Sustainable passive building conceptualization, modeling and visualization 4. Financial Literacy for Life

The academic staff whose proposals are selected receive $500 at the conclusion of their supported course.
