The College strives to meet LEED Silver standards in all new construction and major renovation. Water conservation systems and native and low maintenance landscaping are listed as a focus area in the Sustainable Building Guidelines.

The College partnered with a consulting firm to complete a stormwater management survey, which provided recommendations for better management on campus. Current practices include a small green roof on a portion of the student center; all new landscapes are designed with low maintenance plants that do not require watering or irrigation; loose soil, drainage risks, and other risks are be assessed during wet periods; and seeding and mulching will be used when appropriate to minimize erosion.
