Menstrual Health Program
A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome that outlines how credit criteria are met and any positive measurable outcomes associated with the innovation:
Starting in 2016, Connecticut College has offered free menstrual health products in women's rooms and gender neutral bathrooms in eight public buildings. Initial funding for the program was provided by the Sustainable Projects Fund. Ongoing management of the program is provided by the Womxn's Center. In early 2021, the Student Government Association allocated funds to order 1000 reusable menstrual cups to give out to students who menstruate who are interested in reducing the waste associated with menstrual products.
