A brief description of the methodology the institution followed to complete the research inventory (including the types of faculty and staff included as researchers):
Full and continuing part-time faculty with research responsibilities (i.e. Assistant, Associate or Full Professor and Visiting Assistant Professors) were included in the total count of FTE. A survey including the definition of sustainability related scholarship was administered to the entire faculty. Each respondent was asked to self-report if their scholarship is sustainability related and then describe how. A total of 55 faculty responded, of which 28 self-identified as having sustainability related scholarship. Only departments and programs (31 departments and 1 interdisciplinary program) with faculty FTE were included in this assessment - several other interdisciplinary programs have no dedicated FTE.
