The survey was designed based on previous iterations of the Commuter Habit Survey at Concordia. The information was collected during the 2022 Fall semester over 2 consecutive weeks; it was launched on November 29, 2022 and closed on December 20, 2022. Two reminder emails were sent to participants to complete the survey. Overall, 16,266 individuals were invited to participate in the survey, 2,726 of which completed the survey.

Table 3. Modal Share based on the average proportion of survey participants (Weighted by students and staff/faculty) who identified each mode as their primary mode of transportation in fall, winter and spring/summer. in the Commuter Habit Summary Report (page 2) was used to calculate the percentages in this credit. A weighted average for each campus was used to estimate the percentage of students and faculty/staff using different modes for transportation. The weighted average was calculated using reports from the Office of Institutional Planning & Analysis to determine the primary campus of students and faculty/staff.
