Description of the institution’s participation in sustainability-focused networks for educational institutions:

Réseau Universitaire du Québec en Développement Durable (RUQDD): Concordia participates in the RUQDD, a network of sustainability staff representing 11 Québec universities. The network meets three times a year, initiate inter-university pledges and commitments, plan joint events and conferences, and share resources through an active Microsoft Team.

International Sustainable Campus Network (ISCN): The mission of the ISCN is to provide an international forum to support higher education institutions in the exchange of information, ideas, and best practices for achieving sustainable campus operations and integrating sustainability in research and teaching. Concordia became a member of the ISCN in August 2022.

2023 AASHE conference: Concordia presented at the 2023 AASHE conference. Our session was entitled "Foundational Methods for Peer-to-peer Sustainability Education Design" and was co-presented with UBC.

AASHE peer mentorship program: Three of our members took part in the AASHE Peer Mentorship Program (as mentees) over the last 3 years. The areas of focus were: (a) Sustainability Living Labs; (b) STARS certification; and (c) Peer-to-peer education programs.

Yes

Description of the institution’s leadership roles in inter-campus collaboration:

International Sustainable Campus Network (ISCN): Michael Bossert (Strategy, Innovtion and Outreach Manager for the Next-Generation Cities Institute) is on the Advisory Committee of the International Sustainable Campus Network. 

STARS Steering Committee: Cassandra Lamontagne (Sustainability Manager for the Office of Sustainability) is on the STARS Steering Committee of AASHE.

2020 STARS peer-review: Concordia's Office of Sustainability peer-reviewed McGill University's STARS submission in November 2020, but that isn't within the last 3 years so we are indicating "no".
