A brief description of the institution’s methodology for evaluating employee satisfaction and engagement:
Future Concordia is a large scale project with the goal of understanding how best Concordia can fulfill its academic and research mission, provide an enhanced student experience and deliver outstanding administrative and operational services in a post-pandemic environment.
The following guiding principles will inform the group's work:
-the primacy of the health and safety of the Concordia community
-alignment with Concordia’s next-gen strategic directions
-equity, diversity, accessibility and decolonization
-environmental solutions and financial sustainability
-supporting student success and the student experience
-creativity as well as a healthy tolerance for risk-taking, failure and discomfort
-agility, flexibility and responsiveness
-service excellence
There is a working group called "Work, workplace and workforce". This working group will evaluate what the future of work might entail at Concordia. Such a reflection, and the decisions that will shape the approach, will take into consideration the workforce (who our employees are), the work (what our employees do and why) and the physical workspace (where our employees conduct their work).
Over the coming months, Future Concordia will be hosting consultations, surveys and more. There is currently an anonymous "Future of work" survey available to any community member that would like to give feedback. The survey will close January 20, 2022. The survey asks Concordia employees about work culture, the changes employees would like to see in the coming years and preparedness for the future etc.

A brief description of the mechanism(s) by which the institution addresses issues raised by the evaluation:
The role of the project's working groups is to develop and evaluate options on how best to define the future of Concordia within each of their respective focus areas by thinking institutionally, representing the community and becoming project ambassadors.
Issues raised by the evaluation of employee satisfaction by the "work, workplace and workforce" working group will be shared at an aggregated level and contribute to the development of a vision for the university.
