Through contractual obligations, Concordia's cleaning & janitorial contractor is obligated to use products that are environmentally-certified, such as:
- Eco Logo
- Green Seal

This has been indicated in the latest Request For Proposal document for cleaning services, especially for products such as:
- Toilet paper
- Hand towel
- Hand soap
- Hand sanitizer

- The contractor must supply a list of all products to the university and provide an updated list as soon as a new product is used.
- The university can decide to have an item on the list replaced if it is considered inappropriate.
- All products must be approved by the university before being used.
