The Building Operations & Maintenance Guidelines document is used as a reference for all building operations and maintenance activities on campus. The Guidelines cover:
- Impacts on the surrounding site
- Energy consumption
- Building energy metering
- Usage of environmentally preferable materials
- Indoor environmental quality
- Water consumption
- Building water metering

A brief description of how the institution ensures compliance with sustainable building operation and maintenance guidelines and policies:
These guidelines are prioritized in the operations and maintenance activities of the university. In order to ensure compliance these guidelines were created in collaboration with the relevant parties involved. The guidelines are distributed to appropriate staff members and training is given to ensure that the guidelines are well understood and carried out correctly. An audit is completed to ensure that these guidelines are followed and updated when necessary.
