A brief description of the practice of including community service on transcripts, if applicable:
Concordia offers students a Co-Curricular Record (CCR) that lists extra-curricular involvement, leadership accomplishments and community service activities, while at the university.
The Co-Curricular Record (CCR) is as an institutionally recognized chronicle of student engagement and student leadership involvement. The purpose of the Co-Curricular Record allows us to validate the participation of students in a variety of activities and to provide a tool for students to reflect on their learning and skill development in order to develop the ability to highlight one's "employable" skills.
The program is operated out of the Dean of Students' office.

Data source(s) and notes about the submission:
Concordia University data from the 2015 Canadian Universities Survey Consortium (CUSC) survey was used as a representative sample for this credit.
The specific questions asked in the 2015 CUSC survey were:
ACT9. Since last September, how often have you participated in off-campus community service/volunteer activities?
ACT10. During an average week, how many hours do you spend in community service/volunteer activities?
The 2015 CUSC survey's data was extrapolated to the university student population to obtain the same proportion.
