Work-study program:
- The Work Study program is open to all full-time students in the Concordia community, and is based primarily on financial need.
- Students must also have applied for, and are receiving, governmental student aid.

New admission applicants can signal financial aid interest during the application process. The Financial Aid and Awards Office will reach out to them to help them explore and understand their options. Current/returning students are always encouraged to visit the Financial Aid and Awards Office if they are considering applying for governmental assistance, and we also provide award information where applicable.

At Concordia, scholarships are based solely on academic merit with no exploration of the student’s financial situation at home. Students in financial need can apply for either the Entrance Bursary or the In-Course Bursary programs which are intended to assist financially needy students.

None. However our administration of the US Loans program entails a significant amount of communication with students’ parents during at least the initial phase of the student’s application for US Loans.

The University recruiters describe our need-based Entrance Bursary program during their site visits. The Financial Aid and Awards Office creates “To Do List” items for new admission applicants to raise their awareness of the need-based Entrance Bursary program, and to encourage them to apply.

The majority of our scholarships and bursaries are restricted to full-time students. However there are several that are open only to part-time students. Our awarding committees use the students’ full-time or part-time status when selecting recipients for these awards.

Concordia offers services to both student parents, faculty and staff. We have two daycares on our campuses and a resource centre for student parents.

The Concordia University Student Parents Centre (CUSP):
- Provides support and services to help student parents achieve their goals
- Offers a safe and accessible space to congregate, study, voice concerns, share interests and develop a support network
- Features a comfortable lounge with couches and a microwave, computers with internet access and a play area for children
- Provides referrals and resources for such things as childcare, financial aid and housing
