Our students participate in surveys such as the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) and the Canadian University Survey Consortium’s (CUSC) surveys which ask them to assess many facets of their university experience. For instance, students are asked about opportunities to be involved in campus life, how much they feel the university supports their overall wellbeing, their sense of personal safety on campus, and the quality of their interactions with faculty and staff.
NSSE participation: 2006, 2008, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014
CUSC participation: 2015

The above-mentioned surveys inquire about students’ interactions with people of a different ethnicity/race, economic background, religion, and political views than their own. The surveys also ask about respondents’ ethnicity, disabilities, and parental educational attainment.
