A brief description of the facilities for bicycle commuters:

Concordia Secure Bike Parking:
- The Secure Bike Parking facility is a locked cage provided with bike racks — offering a higher level of security for commuters against theft. It is located in the underground parking garage of the McConnell Library (LB) building.
- All Concordians (student, staff & faculty) can register to have access to the facility which has a capacity of 75 members.
- The Secure Bike Parking's goal is to provide a safe place for your bike, protected from the weather, while giving you the luxury and convenience of being able to shower as our “thank you” for choosing a sustainable method of transportation.
- Users have access to bike tools in the facility + small individual lockers (lock not included). They have also access to Le Gym’s shower facilities to freshen up before class or work.

A brief description of the bicycle parking and storage facilities:

- Short-term bicycle parking/racks are located around most of the Universities' buildings (both on the downtown SGW campus and the Montreal-West Loyola campus).
- Long-term bicycle storage is available downtown through the Secure Bike Parking facility, located 350m from the Grey Nuns student residences.

Concordia University is located in Montreal and benefit from the city's extensive cycling network which connects

The downtown campus sits on the Guy metro station and many of the University's buildings are connected to the metro station through underground passages allowing the university's community to avoid streets especially during Winter.

Yes

While Concordia does not run its own bike sharing program, Montreal's municipal bike-sharing program, Bixi has bicycle stations located close to the downtown campus and the Montreal-West campus.

Concordia provides a shuttle between both campuses, with up to four buses operating at once. In all, nearly 80,000 one way trips are conducted annually. The service is free with a valid student ID, an employee ID, or an Alumni ID.

Concordia offers a ridershare program called "Allego Rideshare Board". Students, staff and faculty can access it to the MyConcordia.ca portal under Other Services / Auxiliary Services.

Concordia currently offers 2 parking spaces to Communauto, at the P5 parking facility, on the Loyola campus. This system has been in place since January 2009.

Communauto is Montreal’s community car sharing service.

There is a Level 2 (208VAC, 30A) charging station located at the Loyola Campus, near the Centre for Structural and Functional Genomics, a LEED-Gold certified building.

At least twice per year, Concordia proceed to the "Abandoned Bike Procedure". This formal procedure allows the removal of old/abandoned bicycles that are locked on bicycle racks and diminish the parking capabilities of bicycles on campus.

After a 3 months storage period, unclaimed bicycles are donated to a rehiring/social inclusion company that recycle and refurbish them.
