A brief description of the methodology the institution followed to complete the research inventory:

A list of full-time faculty involved in sustainability-related research was created by the Sustainability Analyst and the Provost's Fellow for Sustainability. The list was created by using the STARS sustainability research definition and the Earth Charter's principles.

A self-approval was requested for faculty whose research can either or not be related to sustainability depending on the specific research angle that is taken.

Only full-time faculty were taken into account since they have a direct mandate to do research. Part-time faculty can either choose to undertake research and teach or to only teach. Identifying part-time faculty involved in research as opposed to those that are not is unfeasible.
