Through the multi-stakeholder approach of the Concordia Campus Sustainability Assessment (CCSA), students and student researchers were engaged, guided by the knowledge and expertise of Concordia staff, faculty, and administrators.

Under each of the four main sections of the CCSA (Curriculum & Research, Operations & Purchasing, Governance and Community, Health & Well-being), key directions and best practices are laid out for Concordia to take in order to improve sustainability.


A brief description of how progress in meeting the plan’s goals is measured:

A follow-up assessment is conducted every three years, which monitors the university's progress in sustainability between assessment years (2003, 2006, 2009 and the most current CCSA of 2012).
