Facilities Management does not have a clear policy on the recycling of construction and demolition waste in renovation projects, but it is in plans to develop such a policy in the coming months and to incorporate it to our design standards.
The recent new building constructions (MB, GE and PC) are buildings for which we are applying for LEED silver certification, and we have been recycling a very high percentage of construction waste in order to get LEED credits. The concrete panels recently removed from the envelope of the GM Building were also recycled.
