A brief description of how the institution ensures compliance with green building design and construction guidelines and policies:
Concordia University has an informal policy that requires all new buildings to be built to LEED standard.
Currently, the John Molson School of Business (MB) is LEED certified Silver, and the PERFORM Centre is LEED Gold.
All large renovation projects are to be executed to LEED-Existing Building standards. To date, the Engineering, Computer Science and Visual Arts Integrated Complex (EV) has incorporated many LEED principles and the Centre for Structural and Functional Genomics (GE) buildings was built to LEED Silver certification standard.
The renovation of the Hall (H) and Guy-Metro (GM) buildings were executed to LEED-Existing Building standards.
