A brief description of the institution’s sustainability projects fund:

Concordia's Green Revolving Fund began in 2018 and was spurred on by students and alumni who developed a fundraising campaign to get the fund off the ground. Since 2018, the President's Sustainability Council and Sustainability Coordinator have been developing the fund framework and systems to really get it off the ground. This spring, the first project for the fund was proposed by Concordia's Facilities Management and Sustainability offices. The project was stalled due to COVID-19, but we intend to move the project forward soon. With the launch of the first project, we hope to continue to promote and build up the Green Revolving fund through donations.

A brief description of the multi-stakeholder decision-making process used to determine which projects receive funding through the sustainability projects fund:

Concordia's President's Sustainability Council (PSC) serves as the group that reviews Green Revolving Fund requests. The applicant must fill out a application that provides details about the project including what it is, stakeholders involved in the process, resulting carbon reduction, and budget/pay off. The PSC which is a multi-stakeholder committee made up of faculty, staff, and students, then reviews the application and approves or rejects the funding request.
