The Office of Intercultural Affairs partners across Concordia’s campus and the Fargo-Moorhead community to cultivate a college environment that appreciates and celebrates diversity.
The Office of Intercultural Affairs facilitates intercultural connections, experiences, and learning. Each Monday, we host the King Center ^ Tea House in our King Intercultural Center, which serves as an informal headquarters for student-led organizations such as the Black Student Union, the International Student Organization, Social Justice and Straight and Gay Alliance (SAGA).

Work with the Associate Dean to develop and enact policies and practices to support excellent programming in collegiate transition and transformation for students of color and international students and that engenders intercultural competence for all Concordia students (10%).
Hire and supervise Intercultural Affairs student staff (10%).
Provide individual student support (advising, mentoring, advocacy) in consultation with other student support providers on campus (20%).
Encourage and coordinate student group activities that advance the mission and objectives of the program (20%).
Create and administer educational programming (dialogues, presentations, celebrations, excursions, retreats) for the Concordia community and in partnership with members (20%).
Establish and maintain relationships with on-campus and off-campus organizations and communities of common interest and commitment throughout the region (20%).

Intercultural Affairs staff includes two full-time professional staff, one clerical staff who works half time for Intercultural Affairs and half time for Global Education, and four student interns who work approximately five hours per week.
