Does the institution have a program to reduce residence hall move-in waste?:
Yes
None
A brief description of the program:
Prior to move-in, Facilities Management procures 7-10 additional cardboard recycling dumpsters and places them in select locations convenient to residence halls, making sure to have coverage across all halls, and placed near waste dumpsters as possible, to minimize contamination. The cardboard dumpsters are "wrapped" with prominent signage indicating cardboard only and to break down boxes. In addition, Residence Life orientation assistants and resident assistants rotate "staffing" these bins to minimize contamination and to assist residents in finding the proper locations to recycle or dispose of waste.
