A brief description of the socially responsible investment policy:
We do not directly invest in companies that are themselves invested in North Sudan, and we do not directly invest in companies that are directly involved in tobacco. The Advisory Committee for Socially Responsible Investing (ACSRI) developed positions on various social concerns to the University as investor. These guidelines provide an indication on how the ACSRI will advise the Trustees to vote on environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues. While not official positions of the Trustees of the University, the issues below are reflective of ACSRI voting precedent: Animal Welfare, Banking, Charity, Environment, Energy, and Sustainability, Equal Opportunity Employment, Health and Safety, Human Rights, Military and Security, and Political Contributions. Further additional policy information is available from the ACSRI manager.
