A brief description of the composting or mulching program:
Grass is cut with self-mulching mowers and left on-site and most leaves that are collected are provided to the community garden. Bartlett tree service takes away tree trimming and converts them into mulch or biochar. Bartlett, the company currently under contract to perform grounds keeping, also mulches and composts trimmings. Although not done on-site, local vendors use the trimmings for this mulch and compost to keep transportation to a minimum and benefits to the local area at a maximum.
