Data source(s) and notes about the submission:
Columbia continues to expand and with this growth has come the addition of several research buildings including: the Irving Cancer Research Center on the CUMC campus, the Gary C. Comer Geochemistry Building on the LDEO campus, and the Northwest Corner Building on the Morningside Campus. These facilities house extensive lab spaces with additional fume hoods that makes up a representative amount of additional energy. The University has made efforts to improve lab and fume hood energy efficiency through the development of the Columbia University Guidelines for Laboratory Ventilation and Fume Hood Exhaust Systems http://www.ehs.columbia.edu/FinalLabDesign4-09.pdf
