Examples of CIR actions during the previous three years:

In February 2022, the CSU Foundation updated the Socially Responsible Investing Policy at the annual CIR meeting. The CIR voted to approve the revision of the SRI to strengthen the language around ESG. The CSU Foundation regularly engages in discussions revolving around ESG screening and impact investing and annually sends out letters to all active investment managers within the portfolio, encouraging them to prioritize sustainable investments in their portfolios. Over the last three years, the Foundation has significantly improved the percentage of ESG investments in the portfolio.

The CIR also has a commitment to support student ESG priorities and enhance their learning by including students who run the Summit Fund, a student-run investment in the College of Business with a social/environmental lens, to be part of CIR and present their fund analysis at an annual meeting. At the February 2022 CIR meeting, the students presented on their fund performance.
