Since 2014, CSU has participated in the National Study of Learning, Voting, and
Engagement (NSLVE). CSU reached Silver in the ALL IN challenge for the 2016 Presidential election, Platinum for the 2018 mid-term election cycle, and Gold for the 2020 Presidential election.
One way CSU engages students in voting is during registration for each semester. Students complete several tasks on their student portal, RamWeb, before they may register for classes. One such task is reviewing information and resources on registering to vote. CSU's Student Body President and Dean of Students sends a message to all students before each fall before national and local elections encouraging participation in voting and civic engagement and also sends a message at the end of the academic year encouraging participation in the summer primary election. Resources are included for students who are eligible to vote as well as ideas for how to get involved for students who are not eligible to vote.
