A brief description of the institution’s Fair Trade initiatives, including the year formal designation was achieved and/or renewed:

In May 2016 CSU became the first institution in the state of Colorado to be designated a Fair Trade University. Fair Trade coffee and chocolate have been served/available for purchase on campus for many years. As part of the new Fair Trade designation, the Green Warrior Campaign purchased several hundred Fair Trade certified t-shirts in Fall 2016 and conversations have begun with the book store and student organizations to start implementing the Fair Trade purchasing guidelines more broadly.
