The University has two Committees responsible for Diversity:

The Operations Team for Diversity assists the Office of the Vice President for Diversity in Advancing the Diversity Agenda of CSU.

The Internal Advisory Committee on Diversity has the following duties;
1) Serving as Advisory to the Operations Team for Diversity.
2) Acting as the Strategic Plan Review Committee (SPRC) for Colorado State University.
3) Sharing information about the activities and programs communicated to them during meetings.

A brief description of the diversity office:

The Diversity Office is charged with coordinating, initiating, enhancing and leading diversity efforts for the University. It is responsible for taking the lead on university-wide diversity planning efforts, to include assessment, evaluation and accountability; developing strategic partnerships, alliances and collaborations both on and off-campus; organizing the annual CSU Diversity Conference; assisting in the coordination of activities among on-campus units, commissions, committees and task forces; and is responsible for representing the University by networking and through professional collaboration with outside communities, schools and organizations.

A brief description of the diversity coordinator's position:

As Vice President for Diversity, Mary Ontiveros leads Colorado State's diversity efforts and reports directly to the President. Her duties as vice president include:

* leading diversity planning efforts, including assessment, evaluation, and accountability;
* developing strategic partnerships, alliances and collaborations;
* organizing the annual Diversity Conference;
* helping to coordinate activities among on-campus units, commissions, committees, and task forces;
* and representing the University through networking and collaboration with outside communities, schools, and organizations.

Ontiveros also serves as Associate Vice President of Enrollment and Access where she provides oversight for the Access Center, which includes the Alliance Partnership Program.
