A brief description of the sustainable operations and maintenance policy/program and/or O+M rating system(s) used:
Operation and maintenance policy guidelines were established by CMC's Facilities Department via an Energy Policy and Sustainable Energy Conservation Procedure (attached here in its most recent version from 2023) that is regularly updated and used to train staff who manage our heating and cooling systems or who purchase and utilize energy in any college asset. This document drills down into specifics such as what set points to use on HVAC systems, exactly how to schedule heating and cooling of occupied versus unoccupied spaces, and how to power down energy-intensive systems during holidays and other breaks. See attachment for a full description of the program.

Data source(s) and notes about the submission:
Although CMC has implemented various measures over the years to conserve energy, the renewed emphasis on efficient building scheduling, operations, and maintenance reflected in this policy has proven (as evidenced by our energy and carbon reductions quantified in OP-2) to reduce energy consumption, and optimize utility and operational cost savings with minimal additional capital investment while providing a framework that supports sustainability. The college educates faculty, staff, and students on energy conservation and sustainability as these groups are instrumental to the success of this policy. Involvement by faculty and students is essential to foster program development and site participation.
