A brief description of other programs or initiatives to encourage more sustainable modes of transportation and/or reduce the impact of student and employee commuting:

Started by students in 2008, the CC Bike Co-op aims to empower people to maintain and repair their own bikes and to negate the necessity of cars within a five-mile radius of campus. The co-op offers free classes in bike repair and maintenance. Student volunteers also keep a self-service bike shop stocked with tools, workbenches, and used parts. They also gather abandoned bicycles, “resurrect them” to keep them from becoming trash, and sell the refurbished bikes. The co-op is located in the garages along the parking lot in front of Tutt Science Center, on Uintah. It is open and staffed weekday afternoons, with classes held each block to teach basic bicycle maintenance. Pike Ride was introduced as a bike share system open to all students, staff, and faculty.

Colorado College also offers CC students free Mountain Metro passes to students through the Mountain Metro Transit College Pass Program. Students just need to have their gold cards on them.
