Eco-Action is Holy Cross’s student environmental concerns organization. They organize education, service, and action opportunities in the Holy Cross community to foster environmental awareness. https://www.holycross.edu/clubs-organizations/eco-action
The Outdoors Club is a student organization committed to exploring the parks, trails, mountains, and other outdoor adventure opportunities available around Holy Cross and the surrounding area. The Outdoors Club is focused on allowing students to stretch their legs off campus in beautiful wildlife conservations. https://www.holycross.edu/campus-life/clubs-organizations
Garden and Beekeeping SPUD Site- these students manage the Roots of Justice Campus Garden located behind O'Neil Hall as well as the beehives located behind the athletic fields, explore topics relating to agriculture as well as food production, and support food justice efforts within the Worcester community. https://www.instagram.com/hcgarden/

2.2 Sustainability-focused co-curricular activities

Held in April, during the annual Purple Goes Green Week Eco Action puts on a variety of events to show Holy Cross students how they can reduce their environmental impact around campus and to educate them about problems that affect the campus and our neighborhoods.

Green Influencers- Offered by the Office of Sustainability, a small group of Holy Cross micro-influencers share content on their personal Instagram Stories and contribute to the College's PurpleGoesGreen Instagram account so that new people can join the conversation about sustainability at their current comfort level. The program aims to increase awareness of environmental issues. For Green Influencers, the program strives to offer a space to explore communications, marketing, and influencing as careers.

Office of Sustainability Interns (2/year)- Holy Cross’ Office of Sustainability seeks student assistants to support general campus sustainability initiatives. The assistants work directly with the Director of Sustainability to develop, implement, and market environmental sustainability projects. The assistants will also have the opportunity to engage with the broader campus sustainability community, such as the Presidential Task Force on the Environment or Environmental Studies. Students interested in careers in sustainability, social responsibility, environmental education, behavioral change, and program management are encouraged to apply. Some responsibilities include:
Co-manage the student-oriented green living certification initiative.
Collaborate with campus stakeholders to organize events and engagement opportunities.
Visit and guest speak at classes on the Carbon Commitment and environmental topics.
Contribute to the PurpleGoesGreen social media account.
Co-manage the green influencer program.
Develop and implement basic campus sustainability outreach campaigns.
Act as a peer resource and peer supervisor to sustainability project developers.

Holy Cross Green Fund- Established and directed by students, the Holy Cross Green Fund offers grant funding to projects that positively impact the environment and Holy Cross students. https://www.holycross.edu/campus-life/sustainability/green-fund
Description of additional sustainability-focused co-curricular activities for students:
Immersion programs- Offered by the Office of the College Chaplains, the Spring Break Immersion Program offers Holy Cross students the opportunity to build relationships across economic, regional, and cultural differences with people throughout the U.S. Each year, at least one immersion site focuses on the environment.
Pothos Corporate Responsibility Consulting Project- Through the Pothos Project, students, with the support of alumni mentors, students help Holy Cross and our local business community become more sustainable on their way to prosperity and good fortune via real-world consulting engagements.
The Student Government Association (SGA) has a Director of Sustainability and the Green Fund position on the Cabinet.
