A brief description of the institution’s methodology for evaluating employee satisfaction and engagement:
In 2019-2020, the college's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Strategic Planning Task Force conducting a campus climate survey, to assess the satisfaction, sense of belonging, and areas of concern among all faculty, staff, and students. This was done using three separate online surveys. Data were analyzed and summarized by a consultant hired specifically for this purpose. The consultant and the task force presented the results of the survey to the campus community in written format (PDF via email), as well as during an All College Meeting. Students, faculty, and staff were given many opportunities to respond, discuss, and help prioritize the key issues raised through the survey process. Additional issues were raised through discussions and focus groups.

A brief description of the mechanism(s) by which the institution addresses issues raised by the evaluation:
The institution used data from these surveys to develop our phase one strategic plan for diversity, inclusion, and equity at College of the Atlantic. This plan includes year one action steps, several of which focus on issues related to employee satisfaction and inclusion.

Additionally, the college's personnel committee, staff meeting, and faculty meeting focus on prioritizing and working to address issues raised by employees.
