A brief description of the institution’s efforts to support alternative fuel and power technology in its motorized fleet:

In September 2018, Beech Hill Farm purchased a used Nissan Leaf for work-study students to travel fossil-fuel free between the College's main campus and the Farm. In summer 2018, the College installed a second Level 2 charging station, which supplements the College's existing Level 2 charger, and both are directly attached to a solar PV system as well as the grid. In April 2014, the College received an all-electric Ford Focus sedan as a result of our close working relationship with Darling's Ford of Bangor, Maine. Peggy Rockefeller Farm has a 1996 Ford F250 super cab 4X4 diesel pickup truck that is run on a mixture of diesel and biodiesel fuel. There is an electric car charger at each of the College's two farms and two on campus. All chargers are tied to the grid, and offset with solar PV.
