The Eco-Representatives are chosen through an application and interview process.

There is a manual for the student educators which is used for training in how to be an effective peer educator and the expectations for EcoReps. Monthly themes are consistent through out the residence halls but how the EcoRep goes about educating on the themes is left up to them. and going through the manual is a huge part of the training.

EcoReps are volunteers that are supported with needed supplies through the Office of Sustainability and the Residential Life Department.
