Does the institution have a program to reduce residence hall move-out waste?:
Yes
None
A brief description of the program:
Students are encouraged to donate items they are no longer using at the end of the year. This includes donating to Catholic Charities, which Residential Life organizes. This year there is also a “Swap Shop” for students where they are encouraged to swap things they are no longer using for items they need. This encourages recycling items within the campus community rather than throwing them away. Items that are not “purchased” by other students will be donated to local organizations. Recycling of items that are no longer usable is also promoted at times when students move out.
