Although SJU does not have a written policy regarding interdisciplinary research and the tenure process, inter- and multi-disciplinary research has always been considered valid during the tenure desicion-making process. As evidence, our institution's Environmentally Studies department is composed has four faculty members, each who have participated in interdisciplinary research.
