A brief description of the methodology used to track and calculate the number of recordable incidents of work-related injury or ill health :
When an employee is injured while at work a report will be generated by our Health Center. That report will then be sent the Environmental Health & Safety Manager as-well-as the HR department. HR will follow-up with the injured employee and/or physician to determine what, if any, diagnosis was giving and if additional treatment was rendered or prescribed. Using this information, the EH&S Manager and HR can then make a determination of whether the injury meets the OSHA definition of a recordable injury/illness. Once the determination has been made we will use OSHA form 300 to record the injury if warranted.
Annual number of recordable incidents of work-related injury or ill health per 100 FTE employees:
2.68
