The Green Fund was established by the Board of Trustees in 2017 as a way to capture rebates, cost savings and other incentives to help fund future projects that will continue to improve sustainability at the College of Lake County.

Funding requests must align with the sustainability plan goals, be reviewed by the sustainability council and then approved by the vice president of financial affairs. The sustainability council includes a cross-functional representation of faculty, staff and students.
