A brief description of how sustainability is included prominently in new student orientation :
Recent high school graduates receive tours of the campus buildings, when they are oriented to the sustainability values of the college, including the proper usage of the trash/recycling/compost bins. Students also learn about the LEED Platinum Science Building and the CLC's ranking on the Campus Sustainability Index. Students are oriented to Student Life activities, including the Environmental Club, which offers extra curricular sustainability activities. All clubs are required to complete at least one sustainability-related activity by the end of the academic year.
