A brief description of the assessment(s):
A Diversity Subcommittee was charged with the responsibility of collecting diversity perception information from the college community and organizations within Lake County. The sub-committee developed four objectives to this goal:
1. Identifying and contacting community groups and organizations from whom perception information would be obtained;
2. Conducting interviews and focus groups information from the groups and organizations identified;
3. Designing research instruments and protocols from which the interviews and focus group information would be collected and analyzed; and

2. Based on pilot interviews with students and faculty and focus group interviews with community groups, the College of Lake County was found to have a satisfactory standing on diversity concerns.
3. Respondents found that CLC strength in diversity issues has improved over the last few years and cited a growth in cultural/student clubs/organizations and employee diversity.
