A dedicated staff person for the Biology and Chemistry departments monitors the amount of hazardous materials and chemicals used in all labs. In addition, all facilities supervisory personnel have gone through hazardous material and disposal training.

The college contracts with a licensed chemical waste disposal company. This company is certified and regulated by OSHA, EPA, DOT, FDA, and CPSC. They are required to provide documentation to college of proper chemical disposal.
