The college holds a "Car-Free at CLC" campaign to increase awareness of alternative modes of transportation. The campaign includes outreach materials on bike paths, public transportation maps and schedules, and "Ditch-My-Car (DMC) Week" promotional materials. The DMC week materials promote a raffle for a free bike, and free bike maintenance workshops.

All new faculty participate in a New Faculty Institute (NFI) series of informational sessions throughout their first semester on campus. The college Sustainability Center has developed a "Sustainability 101" publication for all faculty to receive during NFI, describing the college's sustainability efforts, ways they can get involved, and "Greening the classroom" tips.
