A brief description of the method(s) used to gather data about student commuting:

The Center for Sustainable Development organized and distributed a commuter survey in January 2020. The survey was distributed to all faculty, staff and students. About 450 students completed the survey (12 percent of student respondents are graduate students). Of the undergraduate students who completed the survey, 15 percent were freshmen, 22 percent were sophomores, 25 percent were juniors, and 36 percent were seniors.

A brief description of the method(s) used to gather data about employee commuting:

The Center for Sustainable Development organized and distributed a commuter survey in January 2020. The survey was distributed to all academic staff, non-academic staff and students. About 185 academic staff members and 214 non-academic staff members completed the survey.
