A brief description of the assessment process and the framework, scorecard(s) and/or tool(s) used:
(A) The student body at Colgate University peacefully conducted a demonstration in the Fall of 2014, calling for a more inclusive campus climate. Students and administrators authored a 21-point action plan called Colgate for All to guide Colgate's efforts in building a more diverse and inclusive community. Elements of the plan have been implemented over the last 3 years (B) The Office of Institutional Planning and Research conducts campus-wide student surveys every year. This includes the Diverse Learning Environments Survey, which asks about the campus climate and practices, with an emphasis on diversity, as well as about student learning outcomes. In March 2015, Colgate also participated in the Higher Education Data Sharing (HEDS) Consortium’s Sexual Assault Campus Climate Survey.

(A) Updates and progress on Colgate for All can be accessed through this link: http://www.colgate.edu/campus-life/diversity-and-inclusion/colgate-for-all Colgate University has implemented new programs and policies according to the 21-point action plan that aims to make Colgate a more inclusive place for underrepresented groups. (B) Survey descriptions and results of the HEDS Campus Climate Survey can be accessed at the web page of the Office of Institutional Planning and Research: http://www.colgate.edu/offices-and-services/institutionalplanningandresearch Survey results are released to senior administration and faculty governance committees to guide planning and decision making.

Progress reports on Colgate for All is posted online on the web page of the Office of Equity and Diversity. All university messages and correspondence regarding the action plan are also available online. The Office of Institutional Planning and Research regularly releases the results of campus climate surveys, including the HEDS Survey, in their web page.
