Definitions for “Sustainability Courses” and “Courses Related to Sustainability” were derived from the AASHE STARS 2.1 Technical Manual. We crafted a finalized list for Sustainability Courses” and “Courses Related to Sustainability” taken within the last three years using the course offerings page available on the Colgate Website. We sought confirmation of the courses we had selected by reaching out the academic heads of each department via email. Along with their help and help from other professors, we confirmed our choices or made the appropriate changes.

There are several independent studies and theses within the Environmental Studies program as well as in Geography, Biology, and Chemistry. Colgate offers sustainability workshops that are in collaboration with physical education.
