Data source(s) and notes about the submission:

Colby is a member of the Fair Labor Association (FLA). Colby has been following the information on the Workers Rights Consortium’s (WRC) proposed Designated Suppliers Program (DSP) for several years with interest, but has not yet signed any agreement to participate in it. In December 2011, more than six years after it was first proposed by the WRC, the DSP was finally approved by the US Department of Justice’s Antitrust Division. According to the National Association of College Stores’ legal counsel, Marc Fleischaker, in the January 2012 email newsletter, “My Turn,” the DSP program approved by the Antitrust Division is significantly different than the one initially proposed. Now that the DSP is approved, Colby will fully evaluate the possibility of participation in the DSP.
