A brief description of the policies and/or programs:
Colby's travel policy states the following: "In keeping with the College's commitment to sustainability and resource conservation, employees are encouraged to seek alternatives to travel whenever possible. Audio conferencing is available through the campus phone system and can include up to forty-six parties. The College has a basic portable video conferencing system; employees interested in using this system should make arrangements through Media Resources. Internet-based online meetings and workshops (‘webinars”) offer additional options for conferencing with others in remote locations. However, in many instances, travel for College business is unavoidable, and employees are encouraged to select a transportation option that will have the least harmful impact on the environment."
