Information provided by the following CCU departments: Transportation Services and Procurement Services.
Transportation Services reported that CCU has 167 vehicles in its fleet - 147 are gasoline-only and 20 diesel-only vehicles. According to Procurement Services, the University owns 129 golf carts and are utilized by various CCU departments to get around campus (primarily main campus). These vehicles provide important services that contribute to the daily functioning of the University, and include trolley shuttles that transport CCU students, faculty, and staff around campus and to nearby locations; vehicles used by departments across campus to carry out daily tasks; and “motor pool” vehicles for campus community members to use locally to carry out University related activities (e.g. field trips, research excursions, co-curricular programming). Of the 129 golf carts, 71 are electric. This information was determined by surveying the departments that have golf carts in their respective inventories.
